Portsmouth is a beautiful water city in Hampshire and is the gateway to several major attractions such as Stonehenge, Winchester, Bath, Brighton, Chichester, Isle of Wight, and several other places. But Portsmouth itself is steeped in treasures, history, and culture. You will never be short of anything to do. To get the most out of your time we suggest that you stay for at least 4 days. Here is a snippet of what 4 days would look like in Portsmouth; and no you cannot do everything in one trip so you will need to return.

Day 1:
Arrival at the Royal Maritime Hotel in the late afternoon.
Check-in and welcome drink on arrival.
The rest of the afternoon at leisure to rest or take a stroll along the seafront. If you are tired from your journey, how about some 'lite bites' in the Victory Bar?

Day 2:
Buffet breakfast in Horatio’s Restaurant.
An entire day to explore the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard including The Mary Rose; The Action Station, HMS Victory, HMS Warrior, and the Harbour Tour.
Visit Gosport on the water bus to take in the Royal Navy Submarine Museum.
Lunch in Gosport
Visit Spinnaker Tower and Gunwharf Quays in the late afternoon
Dinner at a nearby restaurant
Day 3:
Breakfast at Leisure
Short walk to Portsmouth Harbour to board the Wightlink Ferry to the Isle of Wight
Enjoy an entire day of sightseeing on the Isle of Wight.
The Isle of Wight is home to distinctive landscapes, dramatic cliffs, long stunning beaches, and great historical attractions. Stroll through Godshill, a quintessential English Village, with a delightful medieval church, charming thatched-roofed cottages, and traditional tearooms. Enjoy the view on the drive to Alum Bay, with its multi-colored sand cliffs and stunning scenery. Enjoy a panoramic chairlift to the stunning beach (you can also choose to walk) and the many exciting attractions for all the family. On the beach, you get a close-up of "The Needles", one of the most photographed groups of rocks in the world.
Return to the Royal Maritime Hotel for Dinner.
Day 4:
Breakfast at leisure
Visit to the D-Day Museum in Southsea (5 mins drive)
You may want to visit the seafront for a walk on Clarence Esplanade or do some last-minute shopping at Gunwharf Quays.
Return to hotel for a late check-out.
